Intro to Gentle Yoga


This class is perfect for anyone who:

  • Has never tried yoga.
  • Feels that they are deconditioned from their yoga practice, or are returning to practice after injury.
  • Wants refine and organize their current yoga practice, informed by anatomy and biomechanics.
Step into a warm and judgement free environment with a group with other beginners. We will be moving in these classes, rather than holding postures. Jessi’s classes are informed by fascia science and joint alignment, to provide an informed and safe movement experience. You will want to be able to be on your hands and knees for this class, but don’t worry, we have soft mats, blankets, and blocks to get comfort with. The ability to get up and down off of the floor is assumed. Otherwise, please ask about private lessons.

Jessi DeLong is a certified Pilates & yoga teacher, studio owner and Pilates teacher trainer.  She has over 10 years of experience working with bodies of all types, including those with osteoporosis, joint replacements, spine fusions, and more. Since 2007 she’s studied therapeutic manual and movement techniques under Rehabilitative Movement Specialist, Margy Verba. She broadens her studies with the work of cutting-edge Physical Therapists, Brent Anderson and Julie Wiebe, leading fascia researcher Robert Schleip, and the methods of Neurokinetic TherapyⓇ, Immaculate Dissection, and Anatomy in Motion.  760-920-1373
