Introduction to Yoga with Jessi

This class is perfect for:

  • Anyone who has never tried yoga
  • Anyone who feels that they are deconditioned from their yoga practice, or are returning to practice after injury
  • Anyone who wants refine and organize their current yoga practice, or learn how to modify it

We will begin very gently, and slowly progress each week, culminating in a 45-minute FlowMotion yoga class.  At first we will break down the “connecting vinyasa.”  We’ll practice some mobilizing movement patterns to help us ease into the asanas (yoga postures).  We’ll go over modifications and progressions, and you can take note of the healthiest way for you to practice yoga, pain-free!

Wednesdays 8-9am, Sept 13 – Oct 4              ***OR***

Saturdays 7:30 – 8:30am, Sept 16 – Oct 7      

$60  Includes:

  • 4 60-minute yoga classes with in-depth discussion, breaking down the “connecting vinyasa”
  • Modifications and progressions of sun salutations
  • Video links to practice at home in-between meetings
  • Hand-outs with anatomical descriptions of the basic asanas in a sun salutation

Since 2007, I’ve studied therapeutic manual and movement techniques under Rehabilitative Movement Specialist, Margy Verba. I am a certified Pilates instructor as well as a registered yoga teacher.   I’ve continued my studies with  the work of cutting-edge Physical Therapists, Brent Anderson and Julie Wiebe, as well as the methods of Neurokinetic TherapyⓇ (David Weinstock),  Immaculate Dissection (Kathy Dooley), and Anatomy in Motion (Gary Ward).      760-920-1373
