Janet Karecki is an avid student of movement and believer in the power and resiliency of the human system. She teaches 9 Essentials Training, Yoga and West African Dance. Janet also offers private sessions in The Anat Baniel Method based on the work of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais. After developing chronic pain due to an accumulation of traumas which include bicycle vs. bus collisions, soccer injuries, surgery, poor postural habits and poor work habits, she became interested in the work of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais through books. The movement lessons contained in these books gave her the first experience of being pain free after years of pain and compromised functioning. To learn more about the cutting edge, scientific work of Dr. Moshe Feldenkrais, she sought out his premier student and colleague, Anat Baniel and enrolled in her three and a half year professional training program. What attracts Janet most to The Anat Baniel Method is its effectiveness and its emphasis on using the brain and movement with attention to empower each person to heal themselves.
