Tessa Coker trained initially in Exercise to Music at London Central YMCA in 1986 with a view to teaching pre-ski conditioning to sedentary Londoners. The following year she qualified in Circuit & Weight Training. Skilegs classes took off, followed by the book and then the video in association with the London Sunday Times. Tess moved to Mammoth in 1999, becoming an ACE-certified personal fitness trainer the following year. She also studied for 2 intensive weeks with STOTT PILATES®. In the meantime Tess had returned to Yoga at Tadasan Yoga Studio in Mammoth. She studied for 2 equally intensive weeks with The White Lotus Foundation after which she taught at Tadasan, Snowcreek Athletic Club in Mammoth and Double Eagle Resort & Spa in June Lake. Margy has worked with Tess on a therapeutic level since 2003. After 3 not-altogether-successful shoulder surgeries she switched to practicing Yin Yoga and found that students appreciate the overall balance and harmony it brings, both in and out of the studio. Tess read about Yamuna Body Rolling® in a fitness professional journal and immediately ordered a ball and the Basic Back Routine video. Later she studied at Level 1, proceeding a couple of years later to Level 2, addressing the entire body, including the feet (using Foot Savers and Foot Wakers).
