Pilates

New to Pilates? Please start by taking Semi-private Pilates classes or Pilates Mat classes:

Semi-private Pilates Classes

Semi-private classes have a maximum of 4 participants. An instructor will lead you through a Pilates workout on mat, props and equipment (reformer, chair, and trap table).

GentleFlow: Beginners welcome. This class is perfect for clients who are deconditioned, post-injury, elderly, or who wish to move at a slower pace. NOTE: This class is not appropriate for people with significant injuries, limitations, or pain. For these clients we recommend starting with the Therapeutic Pilates Package. Ability to get up and down off the floor is assumed.

DynamicFlow: Fit beginners welcome. A Pilates semi-private for clients who are prepared to move at a fast pace.

PowerFlow: Experienced clients only. Please be prepared for a challenging class that flows at a fast pace.

Pilates Mat Classes

Gentle Pilates Mat: Beginners welcome. This Pilates class is perfect for clients who are deconditioned from lack of exercise, recovering from an injury, elderly, or who wish to move at a slower pace. We will move at a slow pace, and focus on balance, mobility, and core strength. Exercises will be performed standing, sitting and on the floor. Functional movement will make activities of daily living easier to perform. Open that jar; reach for the cereal box; pick up your grandchildren; carry those groceries! NOTE: This class is not appropriate for people with significant injuries, limitations, or pain. For these clients we recommend starting with the Therapeutic Pilates Package. Ability to get up and down off the floor is assumed.

Dynamic Pilates Mat: Fit beginners welcome. A Pilates mat for clients who are prepared to move at a fast pace. Moving systematically through a traditional sequence of exercises, clients are able to progress and advance from week to week. We emphasize the principle that core abdominal strength and stability is essential to all other movement. As we work from the core, we condition the rest of the body, resulting in renewed energy, flexibility and strength.

Pilates Circuit Classes

Circuit classes have up to 12 students who rotate through the various pieces of Pilates equipment (reformer, chair, trap table), mat, and props under the supervision of an instructor. The instructor will monitor your form and answer questions. NOTE: This course assumes prior knowledge of the Pilates repertoire. If you have never done Pilates, please start with Semi-private Pilates classes or a series of Private Appointments.

Pilates Open Gym

A self-directed practice for students familiar with the Pilates repertoire on equipment, mat and props. There may be a class or private happening while you are doing your Pilates practice. You will have to work around other concurrent activities in the studio.
